Tests from mobile PACKET units have been very positive. The DALLAM node can be accessed MOBILE from just a few miles west of Dumas, and from Texline, on the TX-NM state line. The photo below was taken when we worked DALLAM from Texline, about 35 miles away... not bad for a mobile connection!
DALLAM works OLDHAM (Gruhlkey, TX), MOORE (Dumas), POTTER and AMAPCG (both in Amarillo), and will usually connect to TATOR (10 E and 2 S of Kim, CO) and GUYMON (Guymon, OK). The node has the same emergency power as the cable TV equipment next door.
