"Any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in Mankind; And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; It tolls for thee."                                           --- John Donne, 1571-1631

Honorable Lives Not To Be Forgotten

I had some wonderful experiences during my high school and college years. That fact has always drawn me closer to the short lives of some boys who died much, much too young. Some were famous, and some were just ordinary guys like me. But they all lived, laughed, cried, and looked forward to a bright future. I have serious questions for God as to why they had to leave us so soon. Please join me in honoring them:

When his beloved son Willie died, President Lincoln said, "My poor boy. He was too good for this earth. God has called him home. I know that he is much better off in heaven, but then we loved him so. It is hard, hard to have him die!"

I know all of the above boys had people in their lives who felt the same way.
